The Gum Nut Tee is a summer top, or layering piece for colder days. It is a round yoke construction worked top down in the round with the main feature being the slipped stitch colour work on the yoke, sleeves and hem, adding colour and texture to an otherwise relaxed stockinette tee with short sleeves.

The Gum Nut Tee offers an excellent opportunity to use mini skeins or left-over yarn for the colour work. In the sample two colours of different yarn weights have been mixed to give distinct colours and textures. Go stash diving to find contrast colours that will suit you and your wardrobe.

The pattern is available in English and in Danish.

Gum Nut Tee Pattern

The Gum Nut Tee is a summer top, or layering piece for colder days. It is a round yoke construction worked top down in the round with the main feature being the slipped stitch colour work on the yoke, sleeves and hem, adding colour and texture to an otherwise relaxed stockinette tee with short sleeves.

For the larger sizes, raglan increases lead into the splitting for sleeves and body, and for all sizes more stitches are allocated to the front than to the back. This is done to improve fit, and to reduce flaring fabric across the back.

The Gum Nut Tee offers an excellent opportunity to use mini skeins or left-over yarn for the colour work. In the sample two colours of different yarn weights have been mixed to give distinct colours and textures. Go stash diving to find contrast colours that will suit your project.
